They were originally the product of the random flurry of hybridising everything with everything else the forums went through a while back - they started out as some sort of fuzzle-cross, until I decided they needed ears, so voila.
I really gotta write that description. It's been languishing all sad and unwritten since... oh, probably 2002. :P
