The Labs in
Munch's Oddysee was Vykkers Labs 12, which rather implies that there are at least 11 other Vykkers Labs, any number of which could be based on the ground. There is a Vykkers Underground Facility, the entrance to which is depicted in
The Art of Oddworld Inhabitants.
But the fact that OWI didn't plan on making Vykkers Labs airborne at that point in time is almost definitely true also.
