Jacob, this war was illegal from the beginning, violating international laws prohibiting regime change. "Reasons" for going to war have either been discarded or mutated so I've really got no clue why the U.S. is throwing away hundreds of billions of dollars and lives on it. To stop WMDs. Because Saddam was a prick. To spread democracy. Every new ass-covering "reason" is more silly, shameless, and self-serving than the last reason. Secondly, the line of reasoning "Saddam was evil" is horsecrap. Where were we when the shit in Rwanda broke? Did we stop the killings in the Ivory Coast? Have we tried to stop the insanity and bloodshed in Sudan? No,no,no. What, I must have missed the bulletin that said Iraqis lives were worth more than the lives of others. But judging by the casualty figures for civilians I think its pretty clear that the Administration doesn't really care about life. Hey, call me crazy, but for a guy who proclaims to be against the "Culture of Death" Bush sure starts alot of violence and does a lot of saber-rattling.
