Anyway, I still would like a description of how car combat would work in Oddworld.

It wouldn't work. Stingbee hasn't considered the fact that oddworld has a very involving storyline and great depth. Oddworld is art, not Crash Bandicoot. Not some day glow car racer where someone is driving a mine car through a jungle competing against some other transport from the games, launching stupid weapons and suchlike.
It would ruin everything about oddworld. To think of it makes me weep.
