actually, Microsoft already stated that it was a mistake putting the origional Xbox out for 300, and that the next one will be cheaper.

Are you sure about that? I doubt it. First of all, as hardware grows, systems (and games) will become increasingly more expensive. Also, they lose mucho profit if it's much cheaper than $300. If you can provide me a link though, I'll believe you. It just seems a tad unreasonable.
