Crash Bandicoot's original creators, Naughty Dog, had no creative control over the Crash Bandicoot series or universe following CTR, and money-grubbing Universal simply liscensed the rights to other developers. As a consequence, we ended up with a slew of mediocre games before Twinsanity came along. Lorne still owns 100% of the creative control over the Oddworld IP: stories and characters will not be sacrificed in the slightest, in fact now they have the chance to prosper with less hindrance.
Pretty stupid hating Lorne Lanning. He's provided you with four fantastic games and a fully realised, self-contained universe of believable life forms and situations. He's got nobody telling him to continue working on Oddworld, and still he struggles on, breaking free from a medium that's now near-impossible to be creative in. The guy demands more respect now than he has ever since he started making games to satisfy publishers (Stranger, Fangus).
