Before I discovered that Zappflies and Thudslugs could easily bat any boss, I found the boss fights hard. Which was my entire first run through the game.
It was fairly challenging, which is good.

Haha, same here. My first play through was terrible, I think I ended up killing half the bounties because I found it so difficult. Not to mention I got fed up after dying at the hands of the bounties so many times. Second run through, I found the Zappfly / Thudslug combination, and got them all alive.
