sorry it took so long, but heres the next chap(i have been thinking too much on the sequals hehe).
Chapter 9
Spider fought to stay awake. He knew that as soon as he fell asleep the nightmares would come, from simply being in the place where he was tortured. He also knew that they might come get him for more 'tests' while he was asleep. It had already happened twice since he was captured. He still ached from it, his throat still raw from all the screaming he did. He curled up as best as he .could into a ball, shivering, tears flowing freely.
Am I ever going to be free again? Am I ever going to be free from this torment? he thought.
He heard a light tap above him. He looked up to see Scrawny waving at him from the vent above.
"Scrawny.." Spider said quietly, managing a small smile.
Scrawny opened the grate, slid down quietly, and padded over to him. "Looks like yer a bet down on yer luck their Spide.." he said gently.
"Uh huh" Spider said with a sniff.
"Hey.." Scrawny wrapped himself around Spider's head in a comforting gesture, "Yer will get thougth this, I know yer can."
"Sure doesn' seem tat way..."
"I know it doesn'. But yer have to keep yer hopes up. Just remember tat yer smarter then they think yer are. Yer didn' avoid capture fer two years by pure luck yer know."
"But I had yer ta help me.."
"That is true, and with my help yer are going to get out of here again. And hopefully avenage yer father in the mean time."
Spider's expression brightened a little. "I will get that basterd, I swear.." he said, dragging his claws along the metal floor.
"Tat's the spirit! Now yer hang in there while I figure this out." Scrawny said as he climbed back up into the vent, "I'll get yer outta here, don' yer worry." Just like I did the first time.. he thought.
