Chapter 6
It has been several weeks since, Scrawny had informed Spider of the new device used to control 'unrulely' subjects, and Spider had been careful with who he attacked. He had noticed that the 'owers' of the new implant had a tendencey to rub/scratch the back of their necks, so he left those alone. But as a result, it had become harder for him to find suitable 'prey', especially within the last few days. It didn't help that there seemed to be an influx of BBS's, he saw one in just about every hall he turned into. The muds seems to have made themselves scarce as well, further limiting his food choices.
His stomach growled painfully, he hadn't eaten in over a day and he was starting to feel the side effects. He hadn't had any luck at all, just about every one he saw was either a BBS, sligs in a decent sized pack, or an 'owner' of a NS. When he saw any of these, he promply turned back and took another route, despite his hunger.
He turned down another path, only to see yet another BBS.
If I don't eat soon, I may end up having to eat BBS again. he thought with disguest as he turned around and headed back. He absolutely hated the taste of BBS flesh, therefore, he only killed and ate them as a last resort.
A few hours later Spider still have had no luck and he was getting desperate.
The next slig I come across I'm eating, he thought,
I don't care if he has an NS in him or not anymore! he turned into a corridor and spotted a BBS. He was just leaning up against the wall, dozing. Spider hesitated, half of him demanding to be fed, the other screaming that this was a trap. His stomach growled painfully once again, making him wince.
I can't hold out any longer, I have to risk it. he thought as he lunged for the BBS. The BBS suddenly awakened, he had been playing possium, and threw a punch Spiders way. Spider, due to how close he already was and has weakened state, was unable to dodge the blow. He was sent flying to the floor from the force of the blow, and he coughed and whized a bit, the air knocked out of him. Surprisingly the BBS just stood there, arms folded across his chest, watching him as he staggered back up to his feet. Then Spider realized that he and the BBS weren't the only ones in the corridor anymore. Now, on either side of him, were several other BBS's and sligs, blocking his only means of escape. He was trapped...
