Chapter 3

They got the lift at floor 7, the slig executive offices. I appeared to be the last one left in the lift. "Watch your back asshole" said Brak, a half smoked
lung-buster he had stolen was in his tentacles. I glared back at him, "What the hell" I said leaning against the wall.
"You've gotta stay alive, crack that code" he said puffing out some smoke.

I stared at him, his one arm holding a grenade launcher. A large scar ran across his chest. I didn't like him, never had liked him. Mutated idiot. But what he was about to do made me hate him a little less. He dropped his grenade launcher to the floor and his single, drug scarred arm pulled off three grenades from his ammunition belt.
He held them out to me. "Take 'em" he said. I took them in my hands and attached them to my pants. "Thanks" I said gruffly.

"Kreg! get over here now!" Grit yelled in an angry voice. I ran with Brak to where they stood. They stood over a slig who obviously worked in the executive office. "Tell us the code" said Drek loading his shotgun. The poor slig wimpered. "The code? who are you guys?" "I don't wish to disturb yor day but can't you just tell us the code" rak said. "There's no point they'll change the code before you get to the door" He squeaked.

I could see the anger welling up in Grit now. "Tell me the damn code" he shouted. "They'll change it!" he squeaked. "Tell us the code," said Crag, "or you die" finished Grit pulling a large shotgun off his back. "Do your stuff Kreg" said Drek. I stepped forward and statred talking to the Slig. "Listen chump, If you don't tell me the code now these guys will kill you" I said calmly trying to make him calm down. "You don't understand I can tell you the code but they'll change it in a couple of seconds, you'll just have to kill me" He squeaked.

I think he thought that we needed him toescape so we couldn't kill him but Grit was seeing differently. "Ok" he said.
He pulled the trigger on his shotgun, blowing the poor guys head off...
