I think the people who choose an Oddworld movie, aren't actually interested in the Oddworld games at all, meaning ANY of them. The way I see it, they're only in it for the story, and I can understand that; it's a very deep reason to get the game, IMO. However, I loved Stranger's Wrath and I enjoyed playing it. I enjoyed it so much, because the gameplay was almost flawless and really addicting. I would love nothing more than another game with the same addictive gameplay and the story comes second for me. Granted, I know I'll get both in a game, but a movie is not something I can play, so it just doesn't do it for me, as I am a gamer first and a movie goer second... or even 5th, whatever.

I kinda agree with you. I love the oddworld games, and playing them is big fun, but the story is really important to me. I'd find it heavenly to watch an full length OW movie.

Plus, a successful animated movie (which, considering their level of artistry, it would be guaranteed to be) would be sure to have lots of merchandising, i.e. we could finally get our hands on some action figures.

I'd never want to see OW become too commercial. When an Abe figure would be really cute, it would maybe.. ruin OWI's purity.. I don't know..
