There 13 final fantasy's(10 had a sequel) and the 12th one has yet to come out.
Technically there are 17 Final Fantasies [including the yet to be released FFXII]. However FF Tactics and FF Tactics Advance are more Strategy games than RPGs. Then there is FF Crystal Chronicles on the GameCube and FF Mystic Quest on the SNES.
