Maybe this is is an April fools joke. The violence of it doesn't really fit to Oddworld's messages.
BUT, on the other hand, I think OWI is passionate enough to create something astonishing with a character like that. In a way, we could see some Hulk characteristics in there, and I don't think Hulk is a stupid comics using violence for the sake of it. Because if you look at the sheeps, it seems somebody is attacking (the guns still smoking are also showing that).
That could be the expression of a man that can be very normal and tender with life, but very upset by... let's say... a big company wanting him to produce more, or to kill his sheeps.
So let's just imagine they really have a plan behind that art. I'd say I know Sherry and Lorne's commitment to their own values would not change easily. So the scenario could be very interesting and even more challenging for the player.
Also, always keep in mind that OWI is not a studio that likes Good or Evil solutions. Their games usually try to go beyond the simple Godd vs Evil, and in a way, a character like Fangus would be VERY interesting.
It could also be some kind of a "trap" for players who are very appealed by violence.
Because one should be honest : Oddworld games usually work on people who already agree with the ideas seen in the game. And I see Oddworld games as militant games, which means they should also be played by people not really keen on having humanist and ecological messages in their game.
Then, at this point I must say I'm very curious to see such a game made in OWI, and I hope this is not an April fools joke. Because it could be very promising.
