Chapter 2
Mervick got back to his post. The mudokons working there were angry with each other. Mervick wasnt in a particularly good mood today. he didnt feel like his normal sombre self. This arguing between the Muds wasnt going to bring any moolah if it kept up. "FREEZE!", Mervick screamed. "Stop arguing and get back to work ODD damnit!" "But he ain't doin' his job!", the mud explained. "SHUT UP!" "But!" "THATS IT!" Mervick shot the Mud without a second thought. He ordered the others to take the dead Mudokon away and clean up the bloddy mess. But, to his surprise, they wouldn't. They became depressed and wouldn't do anything but mourn. "DO IT YOU GREEN BASTARDS!". It was no use shouting. They weren't listening. They just sat there, useless. Mervick became terrifyingly impatient. This had pushed Mervick beyond his mental limit. Violent images passed through his head. He couldn't shake them even thoguh he wanted to. He went to his Glukkon superior to request more Muds. Mervick didnt usually go through more than one Mudokon per day. The Gluk could tell something was wrong, but he couldn't put his finger on it. Still seeing aggrivated images, Mervick was outwardly dangerous. When he got back to that cursed, filthy corner of the meat factory, he ordered the Muds to clean up the crimson liquid that once gave life to now lifeless corpses. These workers were nervous around Mervick, because they could tell he was aggrivated. This was going to be a long shift for Mervick, and even longer for the poor creatures that were under his orders.
