Kind of makes it misleading, but it makes it look like we were really popular at one time.

Spiders are counted as guests, and the 448 online at once was the result of Google flipping head over heels when we activated the Archive for the first time.

Although that number is more recent from this year. I guess we got majorly hit by the spiders more than once, as I remember it happening once before but not quite that large of a number.
