Woah, Fleeches may have a 6-foot tongue, but they themselves are considerably smaller. My only thought is that they're not particularly aerodynamic, so they wouldn't really get shot far.
Downloadable Live Ammo might be cool in a multiplayer story-lite Oddworld shooter.
