I too, like the LOTR books.
But there's another serie I really like. I believe it's called the Sword of Truth, a series consisting of (now)10 books, of which I have read the first 7, not counting the prequel (see here:

Unfortunately, the latest two books aren't available in The Netherlands. Yet...
