What I don't understand is, that I'm not able to find a British PAL version of the disc (in English). That's really strange!

Well, that is probably because it doesn't exist... Well, that I am aware of. Except Germany and the USA it seems, the DVD release hasn't been too widespread.
Thank you for the batch of information, DotWin! 'Tis indeed good. When you say 'choppy' for the PAL versions of the DVD, do you mean like the effect of vertical SYNC? Like, it sort of flashes..?
