I don't think it is an incredibly stupid idea. And it had to be addressed sometime, sooner or later. While I don't believe it would be a good team up between the very different characters, Oddworld are able to put a spin on just about anything.
As for Ma'Spa, I too would like Munch's Exoddus to continue, and see Munch travelling their. Who knows, perhaps Sekto Dam was originally part of the Munch's Exoddus initial storyline, but adapted for Stranger? Afterall, Ma'Spa has significance for both Abe / Munch and Stranger (in relation to the River Mongo's source).
