Yes, it does tend to look worse when you
edit out the smilie face doesn't it?
I do it to everyone I know IRL, and on the forums it's no different, it's purely affectionate.
IE "merry christmas cunts!". I could go off on a long tirade about why it's funny and not at all rude, but I really can't be bothered.
