I think the trouble with abbreviations is that people just assume that everyone knows what they mean, which is usually untrue. And it's a lot easier to read: "What are you up to?" as opposed to: "wat r u up 2."
My posts
usually (read as: not always) have correct spelling, because I proofread before I post, but sometimes I'll miss something and have to go back and edit it.
