I always find good-old three-letter names go wellfor muds, especially if you're trying to keep to OW naming conventions - although I'm guessing "Tom, Joe, Bob and Sue" probably won't suit what you're trying to do. Plus you quickly run out of proper three-letter names... I ended up resorting to just plugging any old letters together - in my own fics I have Bea, Tam, Rin, Tay... blablabla. And so on.

If you're looking for something descriptive, I find a thesaurus is always good for unusual words.
