Ok everyone, I'm a little better, so I'm going to attempt the next chapter! Here goes:

Chapter 5 - Rescue Mission

A couple of days had gone by since I had last visited the room. I had talked with all my buddies, and three of them agreed to help the poor guy. So this was our plan: After lights out, us four Muds would sneak up to the hallway outside the room. If there was security, we would take the rafters. Then we'd split up. Two of us would search the hallway and keep watch for any of the sligs. The other two would climb into the room and look for a way to free the new guy. It would be a lot easier now that I had eyes again. Yes!

When the day came, we worked in the morning and afternoon like always, then when evening came around, we slipped out while everyone else was sleeping. Luckily, the Muds who were too scared to come said they'd cover for us if a Slig questioned them. So we were all set.

The crew had two of my friends from the beginning of my life here, and one guy I didn't know too well. His name was George. We were all ready to save this guy. So we started towards the room. As it turned out, there was no security, so we just walked through into the hallway. Then we drew straws to see who had to go into the room. It was me and George.

After we drew the straws, we started to climb a ladder into the rafters and jump down into the room (the door was locked). Once we were in the room, the new guy saw us from inside his steel cage. He was pretty excited. So excited, in fact, that he started howling!

"No, no, shut up! You'll get us found out!"

It looked confused, but stopped howling. Me and my fellow Mud looked at each other in exasperation.

"Okay, lets look for a way to shut down this force feild and get him outta here!"
"Okay."

So we started looking for a key of some sort. But the new guy already knew what we needed. He pointed to a little console that said 'Voice Activation' and below it, a little bleeping sign that said 'Vykker'.

This sucked. We needed a Vykker to WILLINGLY open this thing up. How were we gonna do that?

While me and George were sitting there thinking, we heard something that made us wet ourselves. It was my buddies outside! They were screamin'!

"Get outta there!"
"Someones' coming!"
"C'mon guys! Hurry!"

After that we heard Mudoken foot steps running, and something even more horrible than the screams. It was a Vykker.

"What the hell is going on here?!? If someone's in that lab, they're goin' down!"

Me and George looked at each other in desperation as we heard the sound of a Snuzi getting loaded. What were we gonna do?
