A rerelease on a new system is probably something a publisher would push for, and not necessarily the developer.

I suspect that you were writing your post already when I posted mine so I will refer you on to that one and repeat that there is no publisher any more.

I think that this is what you call wishful thinking. They would have to come up with 50 new highly detailed backgrounds, lots of new characters and AI as well as a few FMVs for a game that doesn't really have a market (unfortunately).
