I was dissapointed you didn't get to fight sekto a little more personally, but besides the weakness of sekto, it probably played a more practical role.
1. By the time you've fought the gloktigi and taken out the shield, you have almost no really destructive ammo left. Not enough to do justice to a hard final boss anyway.
2. Sekto was a steef. It seems likely that--with or without his guns--this might have become apparent by the time you were done fighting him. And then where's the shock and surprise?
The game was awesome, and fulfilling. But I still think it was too short. It felt like I played most of a bounty game, and then for the last third I was playing a different game on the same engine. That was cool--really cool, actually--but I felt like I could use more of both. And if they have a sequel on the same engine, I believe I will.
