The Mothman Prophecies is a very strange, very scary, very good movie about a reporter who, following his wife's death, finds himself drawn to a small Midwestern town plagued by sightings of a bizarre supernatural being, a tall humanoid with mothlike wings who warns of impending disaster. That's about the gist of it. It's not like a scare-you-out-of-your-seat type of horror movie, it's more of a creepy, intelligent supernatural horror movie. If you can understand English it's worth looking for.
