I loved seeing the concepts that never made
Munch's Oddysee (which seemed to be a worrying majority of them
), as well as the early iterations for Munch (the creature made of three other creatures stuck together, with the breathing snorcal, is my favourite of those) and the art in the Concepts chapter were some of the things I enjoyed the most in the book, but I would have to say my favourite art was that of
Abe's Oddysee. For me, it harkened back to a much more mysterious Oddworld, which was always dark and ruthless, but very confusing, to the point where I felt so naïve about it. Browsing the art and unused concepts brought back that feeling, and so stired up some tangeable feelings within, like all good art does.
