Well, I haven't been able to get it to work at all! When I finished the boiler room, I went straight into playing Feeco Depot as soon as it had the message saying that it had made me bulletproof.
And, yes, you do get extra art on the PC version, you just don't get the Guardian Angel FMV for Abe's Oddysee.
