Yeah, dolphins have been known to attack and kill porpoises. I don't think I ever heard an explanation as to why.

You don't question why they attack and kill salmon (to choose a random fish) so why question porpussies? Just because they are genetically related and look similar. After all, humans have been hunting apes and monkeys for food for centuries.
