I never got the chance to ask because I knew as soon as my older brother knew. Thus I knew all about sex before I was old enough to realise that there are some things you shouldn't discuss in polite company. This caused many embarassing moments; which would explain why I never had a 21st birthday party along with the accompanying speeches.

When it came to the proper sex talk my dad did the same thing he'd done with my brother; he waited until we were in the car going somewhere and I couldn't escape. He still did quite a shoddy job of it and I didn't really learn anything until sex-ed a few years later (Australia seems to be quite progressive in that department).
