I simply never asked. When I was really young, I thought it just magically happened when people got married. By the time I was old enough to understand it's not a magical process and started piecing things together in my mind, I didn't want my mom to tell me how... because of awkwardness. Everything I've learned, I've learned from friends or from my own little "reasearch".
