Which is all the more reason they should do Citizen siege. (Is that what you're sugesting?) I think the game requirements for OSW lent themselves to a more "earthly" design scheme because of the macho-overtones they've included. If you want to give the people something to visually relate to in terms of gesturing, its easier if there're a recognizable number of arms and legs. It would be difficult for a gabbit to look tough, aloof, and menacing if it also had to move around and fire projectiles. What with the hopping.

Needless to say, I'd prefer if there weren't any humanoids and the giant chickens weren't just giant chickens (with breasts, which does make it odd). But they were gonna go humanoid with some of the races, why not the ones in this game, where they can make the most sense. Better Stranger than the quintology. (Although once published they will become established and part of the quintology by proxy). And for their more directly earth-considered problems, better Citizen Siege than Oddworld. No matter how much you love the Oddworld universe, it would be unfair to dilute the brand by introducing problems and concerns Oddworld wasn't adequately equipped to deal with.

Just imagine Abe voicing concern over fraudulent elections and you'll see what I mean. It would be funny, but unrealistic and likely inneffective. The reasons for Citizen Siege are too specific for Oddworld to effectively handle. And if thats what the company wants to do, I want them to do it with citizen siege. (But I'd like to note that if OI had been concerned about a proliferation of humanoids, they could have, with relative ease, created original characters whose actions read as human.)
