A buddy of mine has played EQ2 and said it lasted for 1 day and turned out to be crap. So you're not missing out on anything. 
BTW. If you're thinking of upgrading or getting a new computer, I have a tip for you.
My newest computer is able to handle almost anything, at 2gb DDR2 dual channel (2 x 1gb sticks) RAM, 256 mb ATi x800 pro Radeon, 3.8J ghz at 800mhz Pentium Northwood (older but better than that shitty new prescott thing) overclocked to 4.2ghz at 1ghz watercooled, and 400gb hard drive. I reckon I probably won't have to replace or upgrade the computer for another 8 years.
It seems excessive but it actually costs less in the long run, and involves far less hassle to run. You get to avoid upgrades completely, you just run it until it's completely outdated, then build a new one. It is expensive though, mine cost me in the region of £2500, which is almost $5000 USD. But if you can work up the money, I recommend doing it instead of gradually upgrading. |
Holy crap that's expensive. And those specs just seem out of control. Yeah, you'd never have to upgrade for a long, long time, but I dunno if I'm quite willing able to pay that much for a PC. I really don't game as much as I used to... and I really don't game that much (considering I'm 16). I just don't have the time usually.
That must be one
badass PC though.
