Here's an idea:

Mutant Meech Mountain (corny name but bare with me, will you?)

As most of you know from Abe's Odyssey, the Meeches are SUPPOSED to be extinct. Well, why don't we shed a little light on this in the new game?

The area could be owned solely by the Vykkers, supported by the funds earned from their various pharamcy (spelling?) products. Upon this perilous crag of rock and bone lie the remains of the enigmatic Meeches. Concealed within caves and tamed by the collars on their necks, the Meeches are subduced to the vicious experiment of the Vykker scum.

The Vykker scientists toil day and night to fit the Meeches with eyes and plant a mechanical pod (much like Munch's) in the heads of the Meeches. But instead of giving them the ability to control machinery, the Meeches are completely under the control of the Vykkers. Floating pods called "Meech Masters" zoom about the mountain and transmit orders to the Meech slaves. They're usually ordered to go out at night and return with slaves and experimental animals. Since the Vykkers are sick and sadistic, they've twisted the atanomy of the Meeches and have given them large razor teeth and a mean disposition.

This is obviously cruel in a number of ways and someone has to put a stop to it. This region could be played much the Scrabania (spelling..) level was played, only much bigger. Since the Meeches would obviously not trust you, you'd have to find some way to rid them of the mechinism on their head, which is the sole beacon for the Vykker mind control methods. But since they're made to be mean mofos, they'll stop you if their master bids it, or if they're hungry. They're fed raw Meep meat which isn't very healthy, so they tend to get hungry for some REAL food.

But wait, why help these creatures? To save the remains of their once-supposed-extinct species, obviously, but they could be of tremendous help. When freed of their mechanical mind prison, the creatures learn to love you but retain their combat ability. Can anyone say Glukkon Flakes?

I hope this is enough.. i'll get into detail about the actual mountain a little bit later.
