I guess I'm not intelligent enough to get that humor.  Granted, Family Guy can be (well, actually... most of the time, is) a little stupid as far as the humor goes. Still makes me laugh though.
Maybe Futurama has improved since I last watched it, I dunno. I watched a few of the very first episodes a few years back, and haven't watched anything from it ever since... so I suppose my opinion isn't quite valid. |
Meh, you're entitled to your opinion. Personally I would advise that you give Futurama a bit more of a chance. You are right though that Futurama does take an above average level of intelligence if you're to get most of the jokes, whereas Family Guy merely requires a pulse in order to actually get the jokes. (finding them funny is a slightly different matter however)
I can't really compare Futurama to Family Guy since they are both so different. But I can definately tell you which one I find funnier.
But like I said, give Futurama a watch sometime. I think you'll be pleasantly suprised by some of the newer episodes.
