Abe can't be the only mudokon to be able to possess things. He may be preternaturally good at it, but there are anti-possession orbs all over the games, why go to that trouble if there was only one who could do it? And ignoring that, in hand of odd there were going to be mudokons chanting to regrow forests, so its clear that they all have "power". So yes, I agree with Rich, here. But somehow I doubt that Abe is the beginning of a new genetic trend.
In classic "saviour" form Abe has been set apart from the rest of the mudokons, if it were suggested he was able to lead them because he was the first of a new breed, if would cheapen him personally, (I think); and if it is his goal to free the rest of the mudokons, then it causes a shift in the way he's percieved. Can he save all the normal Mudokons, or mightn't he just wait for the new and improved ones? Abe is one of a kind, but its nothing genetic that sets him apart. Its just him.
