Lorne said in a recent interview that they are in preliminary discussions about getting funding to make the films. I suspect we won't have to wait until all the games are finished. Either they'll release the games at the same time as their respective movies or they may even release the games afterwards.

Or they may release the games as movies, afterall, film could be the chosen media for which Lorne may want to develop the Quintology on.
