yeah... you are right, but I still think they are some sort of collectible flying Live Ammo, flying in cicrels so the player can easely hunt them

The critters are undoubtedly some type of ammo. Off the top of my head I don't recall which ones specifically you are referring to, but some of them do indeed fly. It is fun to hunt them, and it is fun to fire them from the crossbow, too! Gotta love it!

I can't tell from looking at them which one they could be though.
EDIT: just watched the new vids from xboxyde. They're thudlugs.
