I've got it, and it's ok. It's not the brilliant game that I thought it would be, but it's still ok.

Basically it's the same game as the last one, with a few interesting extra features thrown in, more guns, less old guns, lame banshees, less than half the warthogs they said they would put in, rideable wraith, the spectre, playable as covenant and human, multiplayer maps still as boringly repetative as the last ones, you can take over enemy vehicles, there are now melee specific weapons, you can take weapons from your troops, there's an improved ghost, a spectre, and overall improved graphics.

You still can't fly the pelican though, and there is a ton of other stuff that you can't pilot. The gameplay is just as repetative as the last one in my opinion, and the replayability is pretty poor, especially in multiplayer. The game has a lot of potential which hasn't yet been exploited, although this may be because they're saving it up for a halo 3. I don't really like it any more than the old Halo, with the exception of the fact that Halo 2 having more goodies makes it more interesting and less "minimal" like Halo 1 was.

It be nice to have some more big base levels. Waterworks is ok but by far not the best map in the world. I'd like something of a mix between coagulation and waterworks. And maybe some classic maps from halo 1...damnation (one of my favorite team slayer maps)...hang em high or even chill out. Or get some of those huge maps from Halo PC like the one based on silent cartographer etc.
Come to think of it, YEAH! BIIIIG maps where you gotta use a pelican to get your team to the other side
