I really don't know what to think about this. Oddworld Inhabitants have every right to break away from the Oddworld series, to produce something that's not Oddworld, so I'm most certainly not going to criticise them for doing that. I'm also not surprised, as I'm aware that OWI are highly cynical of the political state. But what erwinraaben says makes me... well, I haven't decided yet. Right now I'm feeling as though the Oddworld Quintology is slipping further and further away, lost amongst a myriad Lorne's creative genius outburst.
Just a couple of hours ago I read an article by Raymond Swanland about how he loved the fact that Oddworld was uncovering a world so rich in its own culture and history and life - that too is part of what I love of Oddworld. No matter how deep the political satire, social messages, stunning art and great storytelling, I'm never going to find anything so magical about Earth. I remain open minded.
