Haha! My point exactly. On a large level in which Master Chief infiltrates a flood-infested Covie home world/city/ship thing (forgot the level name), Cortana mentions that there was a "sub-space rupture" and the In Autumn Clad crashed into the city. She also said she would be manually operating the self-destruct sequence on the ship, so she couldn't be inside MC. Hence the Cortana holograms throughout the level instructing you where to go next.
For some reason, she said that MC was only Gravemind's "distraction" and that it was really focused on the In Autumn Clad... or the Covie City... or the particular quadrant of space they were in at the time. That's the point... I really don't know. I got confused.

Gah! What the hell Oddguy?! I beat the game on normal and didn't get shit! Are you sure there wasn't else you are supposed to do to get the level?
