Part 1

Abe was looking for anything useful in the wreckage of the Soulstorm Brewery. He had agreed to help the Mudokons reach their goal, which was artificial meat. For that, they would need minerals and equipment. Abe was walking past a pile of various objects, when he heard a voice. "Help me! I'm stuck and my arm's broken. Can anyone hear me?" The voice sounded a lot like a Slig's, but it was a bit lighter. Abe ran over to the pile and started flinging stuff off of it. Eventually, he had uncovered a female Slig, which was even more odd than the entire surface of Oddworld. The reason this was so odd, even for Oddworld, was that usually, the only female was the Queen. "Thank you." the Slig said, "I've been stuck under here for hours." "My name is Malaya, what's yours?" The Slig said. "My name is Abe." Abe replied. "Abe?" Malaya asked. "I've heard of you. Aren't you the one that shut down both Rupture Farms and Soulstorm Brewery?" "Yes, I am." Abe said. "So, why are you here?" "I refused to beat a Mudokon, so my Glukkon boss fired me and broke my arm, so I can't move unless I get some pants. I can't go back to the Glukkons, so can I come live with the Mudokons?" Malaya responded. Abe thought about it for a while, then said, "Of course. I'm sure that Big Face will approve of your story. Well, at least the part about not beating the Mudokon." Before they left, Abe got some pants for Malaya, so she could move. But, as they reached the Mudokon village, which was just east of Paramonia, they didn't notice a presence lurking in the trees, watching them. In the tribal council room, Abe introduced Malaya, and she was not only the first common female Slig, but the first Slig ever to live in a Mudokon tribe.
