Chapter 8: Mine Trip

As Abe walked trough the huge mine, he looked around to the mine cars that were being loaded up by sligs in a distance. About four if he saw correctly... five maybe.
'This is like Rupture Farms all over again...'
He kept walking untill he finnaly found an elevator. Hopefully it would take him back to his friends.
As he pulled the elevator up he kept a good eye out. He went by a slig who was napping and past a slog hut which was out of order.
When he reached the top floor, he quikly jumped in the shadows.
'What?' the nearby slig reacted on the sound.
Abe stayed still, the slig came walking to him. Did the shading provide enough cover?
The slig stayed still just infront of him.
'Hm... musta been the wind...' he said and wanted to turn around.
Just at that moment Abe grabbed him, and pulled him out of his pants. He tossed the slig down the elevator ledge, then trew the gun after him. A small 'thud' was heard seconds later.
'Why are those sligs so stupid? Ha!'
He carried on. He reached a second elevator, and went up another level.

'So... now what do we do?' one of the muds asked while they looked down the ledge, looking for Abe.
'I dunno...' Alf replied.
Suddenly, slig voices were heard.
'Well, he sucked anyway, what retard wants to be in chage of a meat factory?'
The slig laughed.
'Its the biggest meat factory on Oddworld... I want to be its CEO anytime, thank you verry much.'
Alf looked around. Not a single way out...
'Dang,' he said. 'Erm... all of you, pretend your working!'
Everyone ducked down, trying to look hard at work. When the sligs past they looked at them.
'Are they supposed to be here?'
'Ah, probably another thing early shift forgot to transfer to us... stupid idiots...'
'Yes... but...'
'No buts... c'mon, we got more work to do.'
As they walked away Alf could hear how the slig mentioned the reward for Abe and he kept a good eye open.
'Abe better watch his back...'
The sligs took an elevator down and appeard to stay where they were now.
'Im gonna take a nap...'
'Yea, il go inspect the mine cars. Il see you later.'

Just a few ledges between being reunited...
'Damn the odd... what happand to stairs!' Abe complained. When he got up the ledge he got a scare of the sleeping slig right infront of him.
'Odd damn it... stupid slig' he mumbled while he snook past.
The slig turned around, giving Abe a second near-heartattack.
'Odd Damn You!' Abe shouted, waking up the slig.
'Wha?'
'Oh shit...'
Abe quikely ran to the nearest ledge and jumped...
'Freeze!'
'Are you crazy! Let me up!'
He pulled himself up the ledge and layed down to rest. He closed his eye's. Thinking of home.
'Wait... I don't have a home... ODD DAMN IT AGAIN!'
'Easy you... glad you made it back,' Alf said.
Abe looked up. In his fast action he failed to notice he reunited with his friends already.
'Yea... lucky me...'
