Part 6

[i]*Setting: Her claws gently unsheathed, she bent her back slightly, lowering herself into an attack stance, then she charged. Her feet crunching on the pieces of glass as she rushed towards the overgrown insect that had foiled her on so many occassions and thrown her from her once perfect status. She leapt through the air, her arms out infront of her and her claws directed towards Ibers face. Iber quickly reacted, grabbing Amoeba under her arms and then flinging her to one side. Amoeba was quick to react however, and upon nearing the floor shot out her hand and did a one handed flip, landing on her feet once more. Iber snarled. Taking off his jacket and casting it to one side, his muscular, scaley arms flexed. The tiny spines, covering his body, standing up on end, vibrating slightly. His secondary arms merely readied themselves for shooting, expecting Amoeba to fight dirtily. But she didn't, once more she charged, this time feigning a jump so that Iber lifted his arms up to grab her, but as he did so she ducked down and tackled him, taking him down and landing on top of him, her claws digging into his stomach. A stuttering screech was emitted from the large beast as he grasped her wrists and yanked her hands away from his body, lifting them away from him as she struggled to claw him more, this had been the first time he had been physically harmed in anyway, shape or form since he had become a Bounty hunter, and the sudden reminder that he could be harmed, sparked a primal fear of death in him. Letting go of her left wrist, Iber then slammed his hand into Amoeba's windpipe, squeezing viciously as he attempted to get her off him, finally he managed to throw her off. Coughing, she rolled on the ground, obviously stunned. Iber climbed to his feet, beating his wings slightly to shed the pieces of glass that were stuck in them. He then rushed towards the distracted Amoeba and kicked her hard in the right side of the head, immediatly she dropped to the ground, blood seeping slightly from her right ear. Standing wearily and grasping ahold of one of the shelves, Amoeba slowly pulls herself up and turns to her opposer, who was stood still, as if expecting her to surrender. Then, with a vicious yowl she rushes forwards, her claws bared once more as the couple exchange blows, Amoeba dodging some punches and landing her own. A flurry of menacing kicks is exchanged, Amoeba staggers backwards after one hits her chest, she then leaps forward again and rips at Ibers neck, his yellow blood staining the fur on her hands. In a mixture of shocked desperation and fury, he then grasps ahold of her neck and throws her across the room, causing her to hit a large book shelf, breaking it slightly so a couple of books tumble off. This time though, he doesn't give her the time she needs to recover and quickly rushes forth and lands a punch in her stomach, forcing her to double over, he then proceeds to knee her in the face, shattering her nose and doing serious damage. His trouser knee is soon stained red, but this doesn't deter him as he then goes ahead with grabbing ahold of the back of her neck and flinging her across the floor, watching as she skids across the glass. She lies, motionless on the bloodied ground. The glass twinkling up from the ground and the moist droplets of rain hitting the surfaces around them as the broken window allows the outside weather to saunter in and mingle with the interior surfaces. He slowly walks towards her, his feet clumping on the ground and making the sound that you'd expect one to make whilst walking on dead leaves.

Amoeba: "You...F*CK!"

Suddenly Amoeba pushes herself to her knees and swings the knife that she had once lost at Iber, slicing through his trousers and into his thighs. Whilst Iber staggers backwards, she clambers to her feet and swings the knife once more. Iber now unholsters his weapons and wields them, his Sickles catching the light every now and then. More violent attacks are exchanged, many being blocked by the weapons wielded, some however making contact. By the 69th second Amoeba's face was drenched with blood and Iber's chest was awash with yellow. He now knew it was time to end it. It had gone on too long. Time was too precious to allow an old adversary to come in between him and a client. He timed it well, too. As she lunged for his face, he dodged to the right and, with his left arm knocked her offending arm to the left, then he slammed the Sickle in his right hand into the left side of her lower neck, forcing the blade right under the collar bone. A startled yelp came from this move, but he then underarmed the Sickle in his left hand towards Amoeba's stomach, and in a sickening slice jammed it deep into her gut, twisting it slightly. Amoeba gulped, blood spat out of her mouth.

Iber: "Enemy-of-mine, Iber does not usually kill unless paid. But you gave Iber no choice. Be not overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good - Romans 12:21."

He then stepped back, pulling the weapons out of her as he did so and allowing her to drop, bleeding profusly, to her knees. But, in one last act of defiance, she smiled up at her opponant and tossed the knife in the air slightly, catching it by the blade.

Amoeba: "F-F-F..."

Her sight became blurred, but in a quick motion she had thrown her weapon towards the unconscious Mudokon, it impaled him through his skull, killing him instantly. Her job was done. She had tied up the loose end. And in turn, her era had ended. She dropped to the ground with a loud thump, breathing shallowly. Now Iber was left with no reason to stay, holstering his weapons, he then steps over to his jacket and picks it up, putting it on slowly as he then walks towards his Cowboy hat and places it on his head, adjusting it to perfection. He then leaps in the air, beating his wings to allow him to hover for a couple of seconds, before flying out of the destroyed office and back home. To rest.
