if you have been reading 'Mysteries of the Past' some of these characters will be familiar to you *grin*
Chapter 2
Hoth shook his head in disbelief as the others surrounded the still unconscious form of the new arrival. He didn't even get a chance to get a good look at him, before everyone surrounded him, sniffing and nudging.
"Come on guys!" he said as he pushed his way through them, "At least give the guy a chance to wake up first before getting nosy." He nudged at a couple of them, to get them to back way a bit. "Besides...how would you like it if you woke with a bunch of strange faces staring at you?"
"Hoth's right..." he heard Lunic say, "he…might...react…violently." Lunic backed away and started chewing on his claws, like he always did.
"Lunic stop chewing on your claws..." Delta said with an annoyed tone in his voice.
"Eh? Oh...sorry..." Lunic mumbled and took his hand out of his mouth.
"The new guy looks a lot like you Hoth..." Invy said from the cell next door.
It was then Hoth actually took a good look at the new arrival and realized Invy was right.
The new guy had the same dark green skin and spine color and looked about the same size. The only major differences was that his spines were larger and the double row of spines stopped at the base of his neck rather then at the base of his tail.
"Hmm you two do look allot alike." Kilk said with a grin, "Didn't know you had a twin Hoth."
"Funny." Hoth said as he took a closer look. He noticed something else; this guy had numerous scars on his body and the skin on his back was thick and rough.
"This guy is older then any of us." Hoth concluded.
There were murmurs among the rest of the group.
"Older? How can that be?" Charr said, "Beta was the first of us."
"You moron..." Delta suddenly grumbled, " don't you remember that one guy Beta kept going on about before she disappeared?"
"You mean 'The First'..." Hoth said.
"Yeah...who else could it be..." Delta growled, "other then the one and only Spider..."
Hoth could sense what Delta was thinking, "Delta...I seriously doubt Spider even knew about Beta. You can't blame him for what happened between you two."
Delta just snorted and walked to a far corner, sulking. Hoth could tell that Delta was not going to get along with Spider...despite what he was told.
"look...he's waking up..." Invy said and they all turned to look at Spider as he stirred...
