I've never been in trouble with the police myself, but when I was younger I got everyone else in trouble with the pig patrol.
When I was like seven or eight I was in the car with my uncle and he got pulled over for no seatbelt. Before the cop came up to my uncles window he put on his seatbelt. Well, he told the officer he'd had it on the whole time to which I innocently said, "No Uncle you just put it on right now." Let's just say my uncle didn't talk to me for the next three days. I was brutally honest as a kid.
