I think it's a hoax.
I mean, if even if she was using a bedpan the entire time she was on the couch, that would still require movement.
Plus, if her skin actually 'bonded' to the couch, then that would mean she was nude, or pretty damned close to it. And nobody wants to see a 600 pound woman nude, believe me.
