Cyber-Slig put it well: there were unlikeable things in all the games. Nothing's perfect.
Personally, I don't mind so much that Munch wasn't the epic it was meant to be; I'm more upset by things such a floating bits of metal and guns firing lasers.
Dripik, Lulu had to get the Gabbiar so Abe and Munch could steal it from him - any other Glukk would immediately place it under lock and key. Lulu, not wanting it in the first place, would probably not care about it, so leave it out. Maybe.
