Off Topic would help out a good deal. When the school year starts, chances are, I'll be away even more. And, though I may be wrong here, DI seems to come in spurts.
And Codek... don't do the self pity thing. Please. You were almost sounding like my mom for a minute, pulling the "JFI" (Just forget it). If something goes against what she wants or hopes, she says "Just forget it". Then she's in a foud mood and prone to heavy arguments for the next few hours. In fact, you remind me a good deal of my mom  Except, instead of applying outrageous unreason to reasonable situations, you add way more reason and detail to a reasonable situation. Not trying to be offensive, but you two seem to be destined or something  |
No I'm just annoyed that my chance of actually moderating somewhere has probably gone out the window. I really wanted to help out with the moderating on this forum and now it looks like that isn't going to happen.
I was explaining to Oddguy why I don't share his optimism, it's not self pity. I'm not depressed or massively pissed off, it's just a bummer.
I think it would've been fun. Helping people out, giving them directions around the forum, warning flamers, keeping stuff on topic. I mean even if I just get a little custom title that says "FS&H assistant" or something, that will be sufficient. Sure it would be second best to actually being able to close a thread myself if it needs closing, or sticky some useful information if it needs stickying... But if needs be, I could always let Alcar or Abe Babe know via PM if anything like that is needed.
