Grid turned around.
"Since we're doing introductions, I'm Grid."
The beam started to go lighter.
"Let's hurry."
Suddenly, Grid transformed. He grew blue and iridescent white, growing larger and bulkier, huge wings sprouting out of his back, feathers falling onto the ground, his arms growing claws, and spiked armour appearing on his shoulders and torso.
Grid looked around at the stunned faces.
"A bit drastic? Yeah, I thought so too. Save that for when we find a bad guy." Grid started to return to his normal self. His image jerked and twisted, as if he was being stretched.
"Argh!! The hell is going on?!"
He stopped stretching, but remained in his new self.
"Damn! Oh well. Let's hurry before we lose where it is."
Grid leapt up to a tree with lightning speed, then glided to another, heading towards the light, still fading slowly.
